Default Valve Cover Help

Hey well i was told i was having black smoke coming out of my exshaust and ive noticed my car has been bogging down alot, so i was informed that i need to replace my valve cover gasket, and last time i changed out my spark plugs i noticed alot of oil in them so im going ahead and change the tube seals, so i was wondering how hard is it to change both gasket and seals?

Plz let me know, and im going to do it so plz no offers "oh ill do for $$$" not in this economy.

I concur. Easy stuff. Clean the places very well where sealant goes.
You can get a tube of gasket sealer cheap at Big Lots.-Bob

Black smoke is unburnt fuel entering the exhaust system.

Bogging down is a symptom of the car running rich also.

Are you sure you dont mean Valve Stem Seals? I cant see how replacing the Valve Cover Gasket would fix a smoking problem.
