Tr To The Rescue Please!!
ok so im driving up hill and my car shuts off and wont stat it turns over , but wont fire up( im not out of gas.. checked that
so far i have replaced main relay, checked all fuses, replaced fuel pump, sending unit, fuel reg, fuel filter , checked timing(correct), fuel preasure is around 45-47psi compression test was good and even, same with leak down the injectors arent firings(spraying) it wasnt the ecu( i changed it out to make sure and it still didnt work..) and it wasnt the injectors b/c i swapped them out with good ones and still same thing ive narrowed it down to the dizy or wiring harness. what would u say.. what i dont understand what would change in that instant for the car to quit runnning?? |
Tell us how you know the plugs are getting a spark....-Bob

The distributor has a mechanism within it (I don't know what it's called) that pulses the injectors, which makes them spray. Take your distributor off, put the car in run and spin the distributor by hand. Youll hear the injectors click as you spin it if it's working right. Check your coil for a hot spot too, maybe do that first.

If the injectors aren't pulsing, replace the distributor with a known good one and try again.
