Default newb head unit question

i am a rx8 person. was referred to this site.

this is going to be somewhat you should search kinda question but here you go.. i am pretty sure it is a common one.

04 honda accord coupe. v6.

the head unit display will not light up.. the head unit has the 6cd changer and xm..

other than that it works fine.. a link to something to help would be nice. go search is fair.

i just have no honda knowledge, or really know where to start. this is the easy button before i do the goggle search. trying to help a friend..

Problem with the harness, or a fuse. Not really a "Honda" Problem, but a "Everything electrical" problem.
I love you guys' expert advise.
