Question d series head q

witch d series vtech head is stronger d16z6 vs d16y8.....i have a d16y7 and want vtech like a crack head.how mutch would a swap like this cost?should i just wait for the b series swap?....really wantin b16a2sir. thanks all.....

or just buy a y8 head for 150 bux put it on your y7 block until you get the bseries. the y8 intake manifold has better air flow.

you really wont see to much of a difference if you swap the head on the single cam..So id say go with a B16 or B18 if you can afford it

They're both about the same. The z6 will flow slightly more, but on top of a stock block naturaly aspirated y7, you won't see too much of an increase. Check out D-series.org for more info. Cost wise, don't forget you will need a new intake manifold, gaskets, and labor if you're not doing the job yourself. (assuming the head you buy comes complete with a solenoid, and distributor)
