Default Integra or civic

Im about to spend 3k in the next 2 weeks on either a Honda civic OR an Acura integra the cars im looking at are a 95 integra with 135xxx or a 95 civic dx with 105xxx what do you think is a better deal the integra is 3200 the civic is 2900. I just want the car to last long and not be unreliable. thanks chris

how bout you buy a shell...then take the extra money buy a swap and you will have money left over than you can put that in the motor and you will know whats in it and how long it will last...for example...buy my shell for 700 bux buy a swap for 700 with everything you need thats 1400 bux then put the other 1,800 in the motor...or buy my shell for 700 and buy a bare block and a bare head and all the rest of the shyt you need for the swap and then dump that extra money to build them with aftermarket shyt and spend a total of probably about 3500 instead of 3200 and you know for a fact what you have...just a suggestion...

Depends on if youre just going to the skreet races at CCC or you want to actually learn how to drive a car at its limits. If you're skreet racing, it doesn't matter.

If you fall into the latter category, then I'll list the pros and cons I've noticed over the years I've owned my civic.

Depending on trim level/generation, the Civic is about 400lbs lighter than the Integra, give or take.

The civic shares the same suspension technology as the Integra, a very good technology that is no longer implemented due to cost. Both have true dual wishbone fronts, and fully independant rears, which is the best suspension set up you can get on any street car. The Integra does come with factory sway bars front and rear, but they're small so their effect on roll is limited. Both cars come from the factory with similar sized tires, and with the weight difference you'll have a hard time noticing any major handling differences.

The Civic will have more interior room, as well as more cargo room than the Integra, given that both vehicles are coupes. But Integras tend to be built a little better than the Civics, and you can tell by sitting in each.

The Integra has seats that offer more comfort and bolster support than civic seats do. But those seats are easily swapped into a Civic.

The Integra has two cams. The Civic gets better gas mileage.

The Integra has ABS and 4-wheel discs from the factory. Rear disc swaps are a dime a dozen and easy to do on Civics.

Thats just off the top of my head. That being said, I have an EK, my buddy has a DC4. His interior feels nicer than mine, despite the fact that I have GSR leathers and he has factory LS seats. My car handles better than his with my 19mm sway bar and lowering springs compared to his coil overs. His car stops better than mine on stock rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads, despite my EBC greenstuff pads, EBC Ultimax slotted rotors, SS brake lines, DOT4 fluid, 4040 prop valve, and weight advantage. I think his car looks better than mine, since his was designed to be a little sporty, and mine was designed to get good gas mileage. His car is also faster than mine in a straight line, but he has roughly 20% more money invested into his than I do mine, plus a crap ton more torque, so thats to be expected. If I could do it again, it'd be a very tough decision, but I think I'd go with the Civic if for no other reason than its light weight.

dude said it about perfect and is very noligable...but in my oppinion the teg is better...i have owned both and currnetly want a eg coupe and currently own a teg i have had milions of offers to trade my teg shell for an eg shell and the answer is no if i can only own 1 its the teg if i can own 2 i like 1 of each...in my oppinion the only advantage to the civic is its lighter...depending on what you do to it tho it wont matter much...
