cv axle problem

Default cv axle problem

ok, im changing the cv axle off my 95 civic lx.... i got everything off to get the axel off/out except the screw for the control arm bushing (the 17mm one under the hub) wont come out of the hole, i have tried beating it with a hammer, using a jack and hammering the lower control arm but it just wont budge.... please help me!

I used a ball joint spliter!! tons of times with a mini 3lb sledge! worked great for me...

you can get the ball joint tool at any discount/ Harbor freight

dont hammer at the bottom part to much you will damage the threads that way.... then have to buy a new ball joint.

ok, i went and got one but it still is being difficult at this point... if anyone wants to come out and hel[p me i'll throw you some cash.... im getting frustrated at this

well i finally got it off..... cost me a new ball joint but, its done.... now im finishing up the other side then the brakes and it'll be a-o.k.
