Why did you get a cam-gear for a SOHC motor?

Bill you drive a handicapped motor dont throw stones in a glass house.

Seriously though the best thing for you to do is to dyno tune it. Every car is different there is no one setting that makes power.

Yup I drive around with a one shaft handicap BUT I just dont see the point in tossing a cam gear on it. Sure I can retard or advance the point at which the valves open but you cant play with the overlap and thats where the real tuning is. You can gain some low end with the gear but then you lose a bit of top end and vice versa. What are your experiences with SOHC motors and cam-gears? Ive yet to see any real gains other than a shift in the curves. By the way....WHEN ARE YOU GONNA LET ME FONDLE THOSE DAMN PISTONS?!?!

Actually I usually see gains throughout the power band with a SOHC VTEC 1.6 and tuning with the cam gear. No you cannot fondle my pistons Denise would get pissed.
