The 01s have been on the lot for a while and are just like the 00s. My ex-gf got one and they are almost exact. I think they have different floormats as an option. Canada gets championship white and red interior.

Hrmm or the other 100+ things that are different on the ITRs like the beefed up subframe. A EK civic with A ITR swap wont ever handle like a true R.

well i was considering just doing a gsr swap into my 94 si hatch but then i begain to think i would really like to have a itr for more reasons than just the motor.i just got a new job banking the major cheese and i can afford a itr like butter now.should i just call an acura dealer to find out if they can get me one?... even in canada. i kinda thought all the itrs would already be sold by now.

I just bought my wife a new
2001 Integra Type-R last week. (Black!)
They are getting harder to find (coming towards end of production run) but I do Believe that Ferman Acura had 1 more coming and so does Naples Acura.

Why buy a Type-R? how about this. Pay $25k now and in 5 years its still worth $18K. Go figure! Its not just a car its an investment.

Must agree on the investment. If the one that Naples has is 154 I wouldnt buy it Funny how my exs first one was stripped on the lot went back a few weeks and wow there is a yellow one in the showroom

Um investment? NO you left out bad before that. Unless it goes up in value (which very few cars do) it is not a good investment. You dont buy cars to drive as investments - you buy them to drive.

yes it will not appreciate in value but it will not decrease rapidly in value like most other automobiles do. There for owning a Type-R is a wiser choice than owning a GS-R (for obvious reasons).

Choice 1- $22k for 01 Gs-R
Value of Gs-R in 5 years $9k
Loss of $13k

Choice 2- $25k for 01 Type-R
Value of Type-R in 5 years $19k
Loss of $6k

Wise business decision.

Choice 3- 99 Civic Si (new) $17k
Major mods- (including another engine) $18k
total invested= $35k
Value in 5 years= $12k
Loss of $23k

See where I am going?

How about a 92 VX with 160k miles and 10k plus into it? Talk about a bad investmant Not necessarly bad just was not a wise choice as a daily driver for a college student.

I see exactly where you are coming from.
