how do i wire vtec engine into non vtec car
i have a 90 crx dx wanting to put d16y8 in it. i have the complete motor block head dizzy alt im tb etc exept the ecu and wiring. so i need to know how to wire the engine in the car and what ecu i need. thank you

You need to either convert to OBD1 or use the one of the output scripts used in Turboedit or another OBD0 editing program to activate VTEC ..
I would choose a OBD0->OBD1 Jumper harness and a P28 Then you need to wire in the VTEC solenoid to A4 on the P28 and jump A4 TO D6 to bypass the pressure switch .. |

what about converting dpfi to mpfi??

Depending on what you want to save on putting this engine in, you could use an A6[si or ex] IM , fuel rail and so forth and use a PM6 ecu. Basically just bolt your A6 IM up to the Y8 motor And you can still use your A6 dizzy, It bolts right up no problem. You then can use an MSD rpm switch to activate your VTEC. Some people don't like to do this. I know it works.

i always hated that multi point swap for some damn reason it just didnt seem right to me idk why. no matter how many i do still dont seem right. but there are alot of write ups google is your friend on the multi point swap detailed pictures and everything
