The IACV is a sensor, a sensor doesnt plug into it, take the IACV apart and clean the screen, if that doesnt work its possible u have a vacuum leak

step one: locate your IACV it looks like this and on D series engines its mounted on the rear of the intake manifold near the throttle body, and on F series engines its mounuted towards the front of the car on the intake manifold near the throttle body.

Step two: remove it, all you need to do is take the 2, 12mm bolts out, disconnect the electrical connection, and your heater lines that run to it. (note put a rag on the heater lines so it doesnt spill everywhere)

Step three: take some brake cleaner or carb cleaner and spray out the screen, which as you can see is very clogged on my 180K+ D15b8.

NOTE you can also take off the bottum part and inspect the gasket to make sure its clean and dirt free, and in my case it was

Step four: Let it dry, then reconnect your electrical connection, your heater lines, and your bolts and BAM your done.

Hope this helps some of the noobs out there

Thanks for the advice i've did all that and yes their is a sensor that plugs into it, cause you have the 2 vacuum hose( if their vacuum hoses ), and that sensor is all the way too the right, if that is a sensor, and it seems like nothing helps at all

there is no sensor that plugs into the IACV, there's two lines, ones a vacuum, and the other is coolant...unless your talkin about the connector that plugs into the IACV

that might be it, like in the PICS above that " nissan " posted, you got the 2 lines, and the electrical connection, i assumed that was a sensor, because if so that was lil burnt on the inside, would that make my problem right their?

no, but i did do that think where you put the wire in that sensor, then put it in the other end ( sounds stupid ) then you count the flash of the ECU, and then it was throwing codes, it thrown 2 out i wanna say 15 and 17, i forgot one and the other was intake throttlebody something, so it came back to being the IACV, and i replaced, and the thing still REVS, the part does work, cause it came out of a car befor mine, and that car didnt rev, so i think its gotta be with my MAP sensor or something... IDK
