like title says does the 1.5 vtec engine uses the p28 ecu, if not which one is it. thank you

 

yes a p28 will work with the d15b

 

Yeah, you could use the p28 but the swap comes with the p08.

 

which one is best to have it with the p28 or p08, and if i use the p28 do i have to do any mods or is plug n play

 

basically almost identical maps in ecu....d15b has just a slight bump in compression, so if u dont plan on being tuned, i would just run the correct ecu with the motor.....but if u r going to have tuning done, p28 is the ecu to have....staple of honda ecu tuning

 

Yo, I dont know how true this is but I was told if you use the p28 on the d15 motor that you have to use the IM off of the z6 so it wouldn't throw a code. But I dont know how true that is. But if anyone could brake that down for me a see if that is true cause I'm doing a d15 swap in my wifes car. And I want to be sure that when I swap the motor and trans that I dont fall into any problems.
