drove it around today... still have some issues tho.

when i start it cold, it stumbles a bunch then stalls. im gonna try bringing the idle up, but this is the same type of shit it was doing before the rebuild...

compression numbers havent changed, regardless of me driving it for 15 min, lots of accel & decel, some 50% pulls up to 4k to seat the rings... (*EDIT* havent changed since the last update, which was #1-4: 190, 185, 170, 150ish)

ive been adding coolant regularly after idles, and driving, and more idling, and it seems to be losing coolant, but im not 100% sure if it wasnt just a little empty, so ima keep tabs on that...

on the plus side, it does pull harder than it used to, but it doesnt really matter if i cant start it and drive it regularly

im gonna try and setup a leakdown test somewhere, i fear that re-using the headgasket may be accounting for the less than stellar compression numbers.
anyone have a leakdown gauge that can let me use/use with me?

im assuming chuck will let me use his compressor and some hoses

thanks again guys...

UTI? as in universal technical institute? no, definately not.

i bought a mini-me like 5 years ago, tore it down, figured out how it worked, then bought a haynes and put it back together, and it ran. that was the beginning of the end.

but no, everything i know (automotive) i figured out myself.
