Default Tranny oil?

Does anyone know how much oil a 1993 honda civic ex manual trans takes? The motor is a D16z6. I am trying to help a freind with his car. He wants to flush the system. So I have to figure out how much we need.

a good way to know that you have the right amount of oil is to when filling it back up, leave the fill plug open and then take out the speedo sensor, or the rev light switch (if it's on the top of the tranny on your model), and fill it through the speedo or rev light switch hole until you see the oil start flowing out of the fill plug hole.

I would suggest looking at what Honda suggests in the manual. It says 1.9 quarts. I don't think they'd lie...
