question about valvetrain for high boost??

Default question about valvetrain for high boost??

im building a gsr for high boost i wanted to go with skunk 2 everything but one of my friends told me skunk2 titinum retainers wear out that why you got to check them every 10k !!! does anybody know any valvetrain thats worth a dam !!! im thinking Jun............................. any help would be nice!! thank You

from a reputable source i have heard that their valves mushroom out and has to be cut in a worse case cenerio to get springs out.

Ti. retainers are a wear item and should be checked every 10k, does not matter the brand. For a high boost app use a spring setup with around 80 lbs seat pressure. Ferrea is a very good valvetrain as well as supertech, and omni. Skunk2's new pro series stuff is also really good.

no the skunk 2's. i am running omni powers dual valve springs in. and ex. side with their titanium retainers in my setup. the reputable source has chimed in.

Well said. My Super Tech retainers started to crack. Doesnt mean they are bad quality. I have 10,000 hard miles on them. Switching to complete Ferrea in the new head

I have used crower ti. retainers for over 4 yrs without a problem. They were used when I got them.
