Default need help fast....

ok, heres the deal. i went to change the head gasket today, and could not get the crank pulley off. i tried an impact wrench and a 1/2 breaker bar. no luck...

also, one of the sparkplugs somehow broke while trying to get it out. now the threaded part is stuck in the head. tried an easy out...nothing.....tried drilling it out, nothing....it seems to be fused in there. i am going to try a tap tomorrow to tap the thread the size of the plug again...if that does not work, does anyone know if a helicoil will work in there???

needless to say a few hour project still sits incomplete....

any help or tips would be great...

also if the head is fooked....where can i get a good D16Z6 head?

Put a breaker bar on the Crank pulley bolt and suddenly kick it
while laying on the ground with car in gear. The sudden jolt usually gets 'em.-Bob

Is the plug still screwed into the head?

You need the proper crank pulley tool. Search, this has been a topic plenty of times

you dont need any pulley tool. you just need a 17mm socket and a breaker/imact wrench, which ever you choose.

i got it off with a better impact wrench. i guess the first wrench i borrowed was not that great, the second one was an industrial impact wrench and it took it off with ease.

we finally got the plug out after drilling it out until it was almost down to the threads. then after getting a 14 x 1.25 tap, it ended up turning the piece out when i ran the tap down in there.
