What chips do you use in your ecu's?
I am thinking pf picking up www.moates.net 's BURN1. Wanted to know if the general kind would be compatible

Huh, I am using Crome.

BURN1 is a chip burner, IE the thing that sets the info onto the chip.

CROME is the ecu software...not the burning unit.

SST 27SF512 or ATMEL 29256 there are tons of 28 pin eprom chips you can use as long as your eprom burner supports them.

^^^ Yep, I have been using the SST chips alot due to the fact that there is little to no maore AT29C256 chips left, they all work fine for what is needed of them now, mabye later when more info/coding is found and added to these stock honda ECU's we will hav to look into larger memory based chips, but yea, most 28pin read/write chip will work. and BURN1 has no problems burning alot of them. I try and stick with the 2 listed above, as in crome you have the option to use the BURN1 and write/read the chips while using Crome, It makes it 10 times faster then opening the MOATES software and burning chips..

Good Luck and have fun with it

BTW if AEM uses the AT29C256 chips then they should be more than fine to use on our setups...
