soft clutch
today my clutch pedal went almost to the floor in my 98 ls and then caught the gear immediately after rising. i searched and checked the fluid level in the clutch resevior, it was dry. can i just add the brake fluid? do i need to bleed the system? how do i do that? Thanks for any help

brake fluid , clutch fluid= same shit..
add some and i recommend bleeding the clutch.

thanks for the help. i know about the dot3, and i added some and tried to bleed the line, but the screw valve is stuck, so i put some free-up on it and will do it up in the am. thanks again.

This might sound stupid, but be sure the bleed screw is turned in a counter clockwise direction to unscrew. It may need a sudden jolt to break it loose. Use a box end wrench
so you don't round off the bleeder.-Bob
