J32A1 3.2L USDM SOHC VTEC V6 98+ 3.2TL 225hp,

this is the motor we curently have in our garage. we bought the car from auction, cuz we needed the front clip, used the front clip and now we have the motor tranny and everything else sittin in the garage. We was gonna sell it first but then we thought we could do an interesting swap. puttin it into a civic. has it been done? i've seen once a civic with an legend motor. so i think this is possible. can some1 tell me what all i would need? does any1 manufacture motormounts for this type of swap or i would have to have them custom done and stuff. i curently have the motor for sale and if i dont sell it till august its gonna go into some type of car.

please let me know what all i would have to do or if it will be way to much of a pain in the ass to have it done. we have welding machines and everyting.

bump....was thinking of a v6 motor for my car too....a v6 in an ek plus boost would be nice.

 

Thats sick jason, i haven't done the swap myself, but i believe it wouldn't be that hard from a regular swap - mounting wise. Although, i'm thinking you might adjust your engine bay room, probably cut and weld and use the wiring harness from the TL and ECU and run mostly everything from Wiring and motor and a 5-spd TL tranny or a tranny strong enough to support it and mount up to the motor, the mounts from the TL, Axles that might be able to support the Motor, like the TL axles and you might have to change your Hub studs to a more bigger size or the whole hub and get better performance braking system from a stock one. Also use the TL shiftlinkage or probably you might be able to alter some TL stuff with 5-spd Legend parts, like the shift linkage and stuff. A basic swap but some searching and chassis modifications. 2. too much weight!
3. not enough aftermarket support, all hand fab
4. too expensive in the long run
5. no ecu support

well we have everything we neeed. but as i said wer still thinkin will only do it if we dont sell it till august. and it would be only a drag car. do you guys have any idea how much nos could we use on the stock internals?
