Its fine with the compression you are running, look at it like this, your motor can only suck in some much air, give it the most it can take by increasing the TB size(to a point) you wont hinder your performance by increasing you TB size that much,

Look at the ITB setups, take the size of each one of those stacks and add them together, I bet is much larger than that 68mm you want to get. because thats what ITB's do, enable you to injest massive amount of air into each cylinder..

If the price is right get it, you may(may!!) see a small drop in TQ down low, but driving hard, how often do you see your revs go below 4K??

Now on turbo/supercharged setups size is almost null, due to the fact that you are working with positive pressure and at a point were your motor cant injest any more air than it already is, that boost is just waiting for its turn to get sucked in, so going from a 60mm-70mm will only see gains in spool up time more than it will with actual HP numbers..

hope this helps

Is your intake manifold 68mm? If not there is no point. I have had trouble with aftermarket Tb's sticking also. So i put a stock Gsr throttle body on my car and still made over 500whp with it. Turbo is different then allmotor though. I now run a 65 that matches my 65mm intake manifold.

blown99civicsi-thanks for the info.I figured it would be fine but wanted to make sure cause 68mm is alot bigger then 58mm wich is the stock b16 size.quistrn-The new pro series manifold i think can take a 70mm.I know the hole is bigger then my tb is.I will have to mic it this afternoon..I have tried everything to get this one i have to not stick but it doesnt work.makes my car idle at like 15-1800.The 62mm does sound like it has much better throttle responce then the stock b16.I guess i will just get the skunk 68mm cause i have wanted one forever.i got a good deal on the bbk so i bought it anyways..well...thanks aot guys..

did you try to sand it out with fine grid sand paper, i have found that it also works, if you want to go bigger like 70mm like my tb, all you have to do is machine the opening of the intake manifold to match by lining up the 70mm gasket to the mani and outlining it. this is what i have done with my skunk2 tb and skunk2 mani. I also have all the machines necessary to do the task and i live in brandon. if you need any help at all feel free to contact me. 813 300 7855... -Jason
