Default d16z6 tranny on d16y7?

I know this is most likely something that's been covered before and that most d series parts are interchangable, but will a 94 d16z6 tranny fit and function(vss and other crap) properly on a 96 d16y7 motor?
thanks

Yes it will/should. Note that the Z6 tranny does have weaker shift forks then the Y8 though.

can't that be changed over quite easily? I know that I changed the fork from my y7 to a y8 fork last time I had an EK, now its round two - I can't seem to get a hold of a y8 tranny anywhere
