Default Cleaning engine bay

what needs to be covered besides air filter, and dizzy? and is it a good idea to cover the spark plug holes with masking tape? plan on using simple green tooth brush and sprayin her down. never tried it before, thought id see if any one made any mistakes the last time they did it.

yes, cover those and spray everything down with purple engine degreeser, then let it sit for about 2 or 3 minutes and pressure wash it off. no toothbrush needed. if you dont have a pressure washer use one of those do it yourself car washes and use the rinse setting. it will work great. if you wanna get the underpart you will need to jack it up, and the frown upon that so dont get caught.

i never had a problem. i mean dont race it on the way there or anything like that.
also, you can clean everthing if your plugs are oem and they seal properly and your dizzy cap seal is good, then you dont have to cover anything but the intake.

You can do it in your drive way (if you have one) When I did it I covered all of the electircal connections, ac compressor, power steering, alternator, pretty much anything that could collect water and is electrical. And remember all you want to look good is the paint so just spray the paint not everything. I used simple green with cup and bucket, and toothbrush. The shit came out looking brand new, and my car is white and 14 years old so. If I was going to do it again I would use a tooth brush. Best of luck
