If you pay someone else to do it, including parts, you're looking at around $5,000.

keyelements92 01-26-2005 05:01 AM

yea but ur tlaking.. turbo .. and the gsr setup.. and it would be more aorund 4.. if i got lucky.. but im not spending that much..
im just asking for some cheap oppionions or what would be smarter first

Cronic 01-26-2005 05:15 AM

You're looking at parts being around 3k for a turbo setup, and another 1k for the head and supporting items.
Add another several hundred dollars for someone to install it for you, this would take about 10 hours to install everything.

Why don't we take the low side of labor rates from shops, $60/hr.

That's 600 dollars in just labor.

Welcome to $5k.

If you go with NEW parts, expect to pay even more.

i would do a turbo set up first, before the vtec head simply because it is more of a power gain to begin with, and your turbo and all will fit if you go vtec anyways.

if you wanted to, you could pick up a used greddy kit with intercooler and all for relatively cheap and be good with that, since the motorisnt built you dont want to go crazy anyways. i would then focus on getting it to be tuned and run well, you could pick up some dsm injectors cheap, and you already have some supporting bolt ons to help out.

do you want a b16 tranny for your car

keyelements92 01-26-2005 07:26 PM

juiced2ndgenteg 01-27-2005 08:28 AM
