Is this common to most TEG rear windows molding??

Default Is this common to most TEG rear windows molding??

Seems like the molding on the rear window fades....any solution??

You actually have to replace the whole rear window section to replace the molding.

What I recommend you do is...
Try Mother's Back to black product...

Or

Tape off the vehicle & window & leave only the molding exposed... Sand it down then clean it.

Use adheasion promotor & flat black spray paint to resurface the molding.

if i remember correctly, if you get a cloth and put some acetone on it and rub it on the plastic, it'll kinda melt the top layer of browness off to reveal some black......anyone else hear of this?...just be careful and use a small amount..may want to try this in an area that wouldnt be very noticeable first......id try that mother back to black stuff first, then this as a last resort! let us know what works!

Seems like every Teg has this problem, why did they make them so cheaply? Those Bastards !

i'm pretty sure that they are not cheaply made, its just the sun kills em! our tegs are getting pretty old, ya know!...... have you ever seen those kias w/that black plastic triangle piece behind the window turn white after about a yr? now thats cheaply made!

not jsut tegs man, my prelude is plagued by that also, im actually looking to repalce them all not repaint. we will see how much its worth to me though.

Back to Black worked for me, you will have to re apply every month or so, at least I do, the painting thing would be a good idea also
