Messed up cv axles
 

is there a way that your passenger side axle is bad and it sounds like its coming from the right side.



is there a way to test ur axles and see if the are bad.


my car makes a knocking sound at certain turns not all. certain degree turns.


i tried jackin the car up and spining the wheel and turnin it no use.

someone help me out

just look at the boots and see if there torn....

nope there brand new

I think you can turn right and if it click's the pasenger side is bad But if u turn left and it click's then driver side is bad But if i'm wrong some body PLEASE correct me.

is this with the car jacked up

no, this is when the car is driving

survey says right side.. ill do some more driving tomorrow and double check thanks guys

i just replace the driver side that y i was wondering why i was hearing a noise that sounded like it was from that side guess not

my coupe used to do that when i turned one direction so i found a torn boot on the passenger side then after i replaced it the other side went out ...so my 2 cents would be just send the extra money and replace both while you have the car jacked up and what not.....it may be a little more $ but atleast then you know they are both good and your not trying to keep track of two different milages and replacement dates....NAPA i found has them for the cheapest (but i forget what the core price is)

you can actualy pull the boot back and look at the bearings

mine did that for a little bit,then i checked the lugs and one was loose,and that fixed the problem..

i got my axle for $38 dollars from napa after i turned in the core....scti discount owns.

napa has integra axles for 58 the last time i checked lifetime replacement.
