Can i bore a ls throttlebody? And use it on a na lsvtec?

Josh 07-24-2004 01:38 PM

only a couple of millimeters

Keith 07-24-2004 09:10 PM

sure... but why would you want to do that??? i would say it would be better to just buy one that would work for you... if you bore it nice and large the flap (for lack of a better term) will still be the same size and still bottle neck the air... so it seems a little pointless dont you think???

NChatch 07-25-2004 06:59 PM

I will most likely go to obd1. I have a b16a1 tb laying in my garage. I also have a 94 ls tb. obd1 What do i do and what would be best?

NChatch thanks alot for that site. I will sending my tb to him Wednesday. :) as soon as i get a answer

Josh 07-26-2004 08:19 AM

the b16 tb is a couple of mm bigger already.

TSX24L 07-26-2004 08:23 AM

what about the obd0-1 will it matter what tb i use?

Josh 07-26-2004 08:25 AM

you may run into a problem with your TPS sensor, but should bolt right up.

NChatch 07-26-2004 02:19 PM

its not the TPS issue its the map, obd1's are on top, obd0's and on the firewall seperate from the TB
