anyone have any experience with 24 inch slicks?
just wondering if anyone here has used any type of 24 inch slicks.
the guys on b20vtec.com say it depends on what tranny you are using cause it changes the gear ratio alot. i dont care how many times i have to change gears cause i use all 5 gears with a gsr tranny right now. i prefer the M&H but i could switch to a diffferent brand |
with a GSR transmission it will extend the gear ratios and give you a little more top end (higher traps speeds...) and you will no longer have to use that 5th gear.....

thats what im hoping for, cause the 4th to 5th shift is a bitch to hit fast!
plus i think i make enuff off the line power to turn 24 inch slicks, with 1.6 60fts i would sacrifice a tad to turn a kwiker 1/4 than 8th thanks bro |
ive been pondering it too, because im also throwing fifth right before the lights and i know you lose a little there because it isnt a very quick shift.... I would like to try some 24" slicks but i think i should be more concerned with a diff and some stronger axles first

Personaly i would use 22's up to 300whp after that i would go 24's. you need the power to turn the 24's because if you bog on them something is going to break.:)
|
quit worrying about slicks, you got 1.6 60 fts

i know i know, i want more mph, to hopefully net me kwiker ETs
|
What size do you have now??? and how the hell are you not breaking stock axles???
