JRSCed Ls Teg. problems...AGAIN!!! Heh
Ok, Well I was on my way home from work a little bit ago and when I was pulling out of my work complex onto the main road the car shuttered...Got about 50 feet just about hit boost then died!!!
Couldn't pop start it while I was running down in gear. I tried to start it over and over again but can't seem to get her to turn over. I had to get a co-worker to tow it out of the middle of Spring Hill Dr. and back to my job parking lot. When trying to start it, Sometimes the car almost cranks over to the point where it's gonna run...Then dies again. Sound like Ignition again? I checked the oil, coolant, looked for leaks, smelled for unburnt fuel or electrical fire, No smoke or carbon on the back bumper. My co-worker that was behind me said he didn't see any smoke out of the tail pipe when the car did a nose dive to stalling out........ It's a mystery. For those of you that didn't read my bad luck post last week......I had to get the Igniter replaced in my Distributor , The car has ran sweet since that night with no hesitation or warning this was going to happen. I have a brand new MSD external coil and dizzy cap not yet on the car, Should I try that?
What would make a coil just die like that? |

had the same thing happen on my honda. Replaced igntion coil, igntior and i was still having the same problems. It turned out to be my distribator

damn jeff, i swear... for the most part of when i ran the blower, i was using an msd external cap, and blaster ss coil (still am). i agree with john on this, if you couldn't even pop it, then you have some ignition trbl.
