ok, a friend gave me his old engine/tranny after he swapped, its the same engine as my lx, the d15b7, but i was wondering what the numbers meant. where it says d15b7
if you are looking at it, to the left of it and turned sideways/vertically written it says
C5B P20

whats that mean?

The first letter D=engine series(d,b,f,h ect...)
The numbers are liter displacement=15=1.5
The third letter is variation of series as later letters meaning newer versions of engine
And the last number is the new model or revision of the basic motor.
Ditto on the tranny numbers.

 

i know the 1.5

but i couldnt figure out what the
C5B P20 meant on the engine and the S20 on the tranny
