you should set your timing at top dead center and loosen the tensioner and then bull the belt off and take off the stock gear and replace it with the aem gear ....and for single cams i found that advancing it 2 degrees you get the best performance out of it but all motors are different so dont hold me to it

When you get your car tuned is when you will notice a difference with the cam gear.

make sure you mark it at TDC, remove the timing belt. pull your valve cover and put a wrench on the cam. there will be a spot for you to fit the wrench on. and double check your cam timing and your crank pulley to make sure everything is lined up before you start adjusting.

this is a ez way of doing it but it is a pain in the ass..for maken power your name says something about nitrous ,i dont know any thing about your set up but ,i was running a big shot of n2o and i wasnt maken any power, it was because of over lap my exaust side wasnt colsed long enough for my motor to fill up with nitrous ,so that mean is was gong out my exaust .i found that out messed with my cam gears i went for 230whp to a right at 300whpso it depends on your set up so i say yes get them
