head light probs

Default head light probs

i got in a accident and smashed my head light, got a new one and when i spliced the wires and put it in it just barley lights up and has no hi or low beam. does any whone know what is goin on.

mine does the same shit and it is b/c the ground wire is burnt. also if your not using the same wire[i.e.=copper, or same gauge]that may also do it. do you have a small harness that plugs into the back of your bulb, if you do check to see if its melted on the inside[you can pop it open in the back]

i bought a new uneversial harnes so i dont think it could be it, but my ground wire does look a little darker, what would cause that to burn out?

Thats what happend to my lights i didnt have high beams on oneside.

its not that, i have already replaced my fuses and it dident help, should i just get a whole new harnes, if so where can i get one other than a junk yard. thanks

damn dude sorry bout the accident...I smashed mine sat night slid into a tree sideways unibody damage and all its pretty nasty

one thing that would do it are aftermarket bulbs they usually run alot hotter than factory therefore melting. have you tried wiggling the wire to see if it gets brighter, if it does its def. the connection.
