besides the self explanatory power, I.E. the wiring and switches. you will need the window motors and probably the regulator ( they may come as a unit motor and regulator ). for the locks the same applies for wiring and switches, plus the actuators.

have you checked to see if the 99 stuff will bolt in?

if it will then I would get motor and regulator, actuators, switches. the wires themselves are not as important as you can run your own wires and it is fairly simple.

have you compared this to the universal kits like autoloc offers?

I have an 88 crx si with power locks and windows, I added express up and down on the windows and the sunroof as well as a single push button that opens, and another to close, both windows and sunroof.

you can do some trick stuff with basic automotive wiring knowledge.

are you going for a factory look or custom? ( not that 99 power features in a 96 isn't custom, but you know what I mean )

Its a pain, thats all I have to say

Your best bet is to use door actuators for your door locks & get aftermarket power window motors and wire them to oem power window door panels/switches.

The other option would be to gut a civic from a junk yard of its door internals, wiring harnesses fuse box etc..
Its a potential wiring hazard when you fuck with incar harnesses & you have no experience

I would say, use a car alarm with door actuators. Have it professionally installed

I personally did my alarm my self with some help on wiring my relays from a x musical touch employe friend of mine.

Concerning the power windows, I say look into spal window kits:

A stereo shop can install these for you also.
I recommend getting these modules along with power door pannels/switches from a civic, then have some one wire the oem switches to relays so you can use the OEM switches for the SPAL kits.

Its a lot of work, if you want it go for it..
I personally would just keep manual windows & opt for an alarm with door lock actuators.

www.jdmcivic.com in the EK forums has had a lot of people ask about this, search for like windows in that forum, and there are about a dozen people who have done it, PM some of them and ask what they did

it's a lot of work, but it can be done. if you get the entire doors from the 99 si, all you need is the "floor harness". i'm trying to do this as well, and that's what i've found from other places. the doors should fit right on, then you'd just need the harness that goes between them. it's not cheap.
