2002 1.7 motor exhaust manifold

Default 2002 1.7 motor exhaust manifold

I was wondering if anybody knew if older d series exhaust manifolds fit on the newer 1.7 motor in civics.thanxs

i'd say it;s a good chance over 90%. since the new d block are just like the old one's just 1.7, the only prob might be clearence by the oil pan, i'd say try it let us know,

I think that you are 100% wrong. no wait...correct that.
I KNOW that you are wrong. the exhaust ports (and the intake ports too) on the D17 head are VERY different from older Dseries. AND the block is drastically different.
MY experience is from personal observation at the dealer where i work

it's funny you say something i remember talking to you about 1 1/2 ago about this same topic. i was interested in do a d17/y8 vtec swap and i was talking to you about you d16/y8/sc setup you said from you exp at the dealer you think it would work. so between know and then i see you found some new info good. but don't sit thier and try to sound all high and mighty. shit i was going on old info that a honda tech told me was correct. lol
