Voodoo's Hi/Lo Beam HID and Relay Harness Install

Voodoo was one of our lucky Facebook contest winners and was eligible to purchase our HID kit for only $50! He already had 6K(Bright White) low beams installed on his R1 and wanted us to install some 3K(Bright Yellow) High Beams as well as a Battery Relay Harness for the low beams.

The Battery Relay Harness is good for a car or motorcycle that has problems with light flickering or turning off after a few seconds due to inconsistent power. Josh's(Voodoo) bike was having problems with the low beam HID's flickering and eventually turning off while he had his high beams on simultaneously. The fix to this, is to install our relay harness which bypasses your bikes weak factory electrical harness and gives the bulbs a proper 12v supply at all times straight from the battery. To install one of these properly you need to remove pretty much ALL of your front fairings and we even lifted the tank on Josh's R1 to make sure there were no wires in open sight.

Josh had his low beam HID ballasts hidden under his windscreen, we actually had to take them back out and remount them elsewhere in order for the harness to reach the plugs. We ended up mounting them to the under side of the ram air intake tubes behind the fairings out of sight. We mounted our hi beam ballasts under the windscreen since they would reach just fine with no complications.

We ran the power wire under the frame, tank and seat so its completely hidden from sight.

It looks a lot more cramped than it actually is, the forks were turned completely left in this photo. The wires actually dont even come close to the forks and are pretty well tucked into the bike.
