Default Few questions

due to my peers, i have never really had any know how with domestics and no one to really give me an idea of how to work on them or build them up, my mom has a C4, an L98 as i am told, i been searching around for cams and such and am finding very little, and nothing that shows actual numbers, she does have a borla exhaust setup on it though, and thats it as far as i know.
ive been told that there is a motor that you can swap the crank out of and put into a 350 to turn it into a 383, is this right? i know these probably seem like childish questions, but i seriously have no experience whatsoever with domestics, just as of late i been driving the vette around and it feels like its got a little bit of balls up top and that kinda excites me. anyone have any sites they might recommend, like FAQ's or some good reading material?

The thing about the L98 motor is that it is the old style 350. The parts are the same no matter what you buy them for. You can get the things cheap if you just say its for a 91 Z28 w\350 instead of 91 Corvette. We can hook you up and get you going. So are you buying the car from your mom or does mom want more ommph and asked you to do something about it?

actually, mom wants pipes and headers on the f-150, a lift kit, some big ass offroad rites, and some neons (no that wasnt my idea)

but she never drives the vette anymore, she wants like 11k if she sell it (which i seriously dont have, and i highly doubt anyone will pay that for it) only thing i dont like about the vette, the steering, it almost feels as if there is no power steering in it, but honestly, the gas mileage is alright, it was around 19mpg...then when i got on it hard it went down to 11 but she says she doesnt want me touching it, she sees how my cars are..wonder what thats spose to mean id like to maybe get a 3rd gen camaro, like a z28 and maybe drop a 350 in it, but not sure how hard that would be, or how the rear end and tranny would hold up, i hear some bad stuff about the tranny, but isnt the 700R or something supposed to be strong?

ps- forgive me if i get tranny and motor stuff wrong, im walkin around in the dark here.
