STOCK CAR RACING NASCAR Chevrolet

After 18 seasons on the premier NASCAR Cup level and 20 years of full-time stock-car racing, fan-favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced on April 25, 2017, that the ’17 season would be his last. The 15-time Most Popular Driver and winner of 26 NASCAR Cup races, including two Daytona 500s, was trading in his driver’s suit for a broadcaster’s necktie.

Concussions had taken their toll. He was done with racing. Except for one night – Sept. 21, 2018. This Dirty Mo Media exclusive short film documents the days leading up to Earnhardt Jr.’s one-race return to the driver’s seat for a NASCAR Xfinity Series event at Richmond Raceway. It is a raw, behind-the-scenes look into Earnhardt Jr.’s life.

It captures the nerves, emotions and anticipation that accompanied Earnhardt Jr. in his return. Would he be rusty? Would he still possess the racing instincts and competitive prowess that Earnhardts are known for? And could he actually win this race? “The Return” answers those questions and provides unmatched, unprecedented access into the fast-paced, high-octane, super-frenzied world of Dale Earnhardt Jr., the beloved racer who gave his fans another night to remember.

Dale yeah. Glad you had fun. Win or lose. I loved every minute of that. Plus my son had the Hellmann’s 88 diecast and was standing by the tv looking for his little toy car on tv. Made his and my night special as a father with his boy. thanks dale and dirty mo

Man if he’d just run 3-5 Races a year, No Superspeedways, lessen the chance of one of those hard hits. A year or two with a schedule of Bristol, Martinsville, Richmond, maybe once on the Roval. The souvenir money would benefit and there’s a chance little Isla will have some memories of it if Jr Does it for a few years. It was awesome to see him on the track & this was awesome to watch and have to remind us of days gone by. Thanks Jr and Dirty Mo Media

I really enjoyed this Dirty Mo presentation of DALE honoring his commitment to his sponsor. I loved the paint scheme it was really sharp looking. Even with DALE out of the car for a longer time period than Gordon was out Jr looked like he still had it. Leading laps and winning a stage were just a bonus. He lost to the hottest driver in Xfinity and finished 4th and balanced his broadcast career and made it all work out. Thank you Unilever-Hellmans, NASCAR, JRM, and the guys who worked on the .
