What are the stockish LT1's around Tampa running in a 1/4?

An lt1 should run 14.2 at 99mph on average. Depending on tranny type, final rearend gear ratio, driver, temperature, and tires.

 

Well I know what they should run : ) But I'm just wondering what some of them DO run.

ok well one of my friends use to have a light weight96 lt1 with catback and cold air.. 3.08 final gear ratio, automatic. Ran 13.9 @ 102, 2.0 60 foot
Mine (heavier Z) ran 9.2 at 77mph in the 1/8 completely stock, with a 2.23 60 foot.

 

That's a very similar 1/8 mile as mine. 9.28@77.73mph on a 2.22 60'. Not bad! It seems there aren't too many Z's registed on this site huh?

gonna get mine dynoed this saturday. only thing on mine is a cold air kit. i got a pretty strong lt1, but havent run it at the track yet. all i want is to beat a 13.8 and i think i should be able to do that. specially with some drag radials. the ones i got now are getting wasted tho, im gonna need a new set soon.

 

Yeah I'd guess with DR's that you'll hit a 13.8. good luck

My 96 Z28 Vert went 14.2's bone stock... after a catback and CAI, it went 13.7's. I never did put DR's on it, which would've knocked at least .2 off of the little end, and would've worked out to .3-.4 on the big end.
