Default here is one for everyone seeing how chevrolet cant figure it out

I have a 2009 chevy 1500 XFE edition. It has 4203 miles on it. 2 days ago while sitting at a light the truck died ignition only all gauges are still reading good all lights. Except it will not start. Called through onstar for a tow and after 2 hours they showed up. Took to dealership where I bought it from and they said battery problem told them full of crap went out there with tech with new battery and still nothing. They could not get it to start did diags all day found nothing wrong just would not start not even engage. Before the techs went home one of them went over there and tried it and it started. Now according to them it is fine. They don't know what caused it and now they cant fix it because they still don't know what was wrong with it. Any ideas and what should i do? I don't want it back without an explanation, but they did not have one when the problem was there and now it according to them doesn't have one now. I have made my first payment only and about to make my second one, that is how new it is. Anyone here help?

just like any dealer , if you raise enough hell they will do whtaever you want. Being an 09 it might be new problem no one has dealt with before

i personally work a dealer. and it sounds like the techs arent dong their job which is fixing cars. sounds like there may be an update for the ECM for that concern. if not then there is probably some type of wiring problem or something to that affect. kinda hard to say what it may be without seeing the truck.

ok so here is the deal..... Service gave me a 25 page report that I am suppose to fill out next time it happens. They have no idea nor can they pin point the problem and they cant tell me if it will happen again or not. I went to the sales counter where the manager was and ask to speak to him privately. I explained that what the situation was and that if it happened when I was pulling out into traffic or onto US19 would they cover damages and liability on the accident. I explained that by them not finding the problem they could not fix it and therefore it is still in play in the truck. They are going to see what they can do about switching me into another one and I will let you know. So the service side is not a good experience but the sales side we will wait to see what happens.

the report they gave you is one of GMs bright ideas on saying they dont know whats going on and saying good luck for now. its stupid i know. but it may just be a flaw in the software for the ECM the more i think about it.
