Default 5.3 build

Hey T.R

I got a used 5.3 from a friend and would like to hop it up a lil. I have no clue about the new gm motors, I like the older stuff better. But i need valve covers, Coil packs, ls1 intake (cable), i would like to supercharge it but later down the road. I also need a manual trans that will hold up to some abuse. Any help is great. and if there are any web sites i can get after market parts from those help alot. thanks again

its not hard, but to keep it simple, carb is probably how you want to do it.

I highly doubt you are getting a carb'd one under the stock hood, unless you want some shitty looking scoop or something else retarded on it, stay with the efi.

You'll need a camaro/firebird/corvette manifold, "LS6" manifolds flow better, however if you are on a tight budget the earlier LS1 manifold will work fine.

Please dont put a carb on it. Do your homework and keep the FI. Also like Z28 said no stupid unnecessary holes in the hood.

Or like this

Seriously though, there are plenty of people on this board and LS1tech that can help you out. Just go into the conversion forums and there are plenty of people doing LSx swaps into nissan cars.
