Question putting carb 350 in TBI truck

Maybe someone can give me the info I need . I have an carb 350 with fresh rebuild . I want to put it in my Z71 truck . I am not sure what all needs to be done to the Carb long block to run the TBI and all the other things that are on the TBI . Is it just pump blank off plate , intake , exaust manafolds ? Will all the sencors and bolt on stuff like alt. , steering pump , ect . swap without any line up or bolting problems ? Any help from someone who's done this before would be great . I only have the one truck to drive and only have the weekend to do the swap . So I really need to be ready with anything before I start . Also will I be gaining any power after the swap ? Thanks Mark

The main problem you'll have is the intake manifold center bolt holes, the TBI manifold will have them setup for 87+ heads, which the bolts go almost straight up and down, you've likely got earlier heads, so they are at a good angle, you can do some ghetto engineering and make it bolt on.

As long as you've got holes in the front of the heads for accessories, your front dress will bolt on.

You'll likely lose power if I had to guess, because your ecu is tuned for the existing engine, and things arent going to be the same.

Your exhaust manifolds should bolt up fine.

Nobody makes a TBI early style manifold that I know of, TBI isnt exactly what you go to for performance, and it didnt exist factory, so no real market for it.

Yes, people put older style intakes on the newer style heads, because you can slot the holes, and even use angled spacers to do it "right".

However he's wanting to go with a newer intake on older heads, so the intake has a bunch of material that must be removed to get the bolts in at the older angle, its not as simple as just making it back up with a spacer.

The tbi housing to regular carb'd manifold might be a good idea.
