Default cel help!

banks 1 and 2 are runnin to lean i was told to replace the tps sensor but the cel is still on all the o2 sensors have been taken out and cleaned what could cause this 2000 chevy silverado 5.3

Bad 02's replace them and it will fix the ses light

how were they cleaned? and has anyone reset the CEL to see if it came back?

if it hasnt been reset, reset it, but usually your best bet is to just replace the sensors i have had little luck with cleaning them and that solving the issue

the odds of both sensors going out at the same time are pretty slim. lean codes can be caused by vacuum leaks, low fuel presssure and faulty maf sensors to namr a few. Lean codes prob the most incorrectly diagnosed code......

both of mine went around the same time, but bank two was the first one, then a few days later bank one went buh byes.

ok but how did they go out? did they flat line throwing a slow response code, heater circuit failure etc thay can fail multiple ways and the ods of both becoming biased to read lean at the same time is pretty slim. assuming nothing like silcone/lead poisioning of the sensor etc...
