ok so my dads suburben was running perfectly untill the last few days. it will not go into reverse and shifts a little hard and waits till the last second to shift after he gets out of first its no problems just no reverse. now he has not changed his tranny fluid nor has he changed his tranny filter or anything like that. any help would be appreciated

 

Is the fluid level full? How's the condition?

If the fluid level is low putting some more fluid in it might take care of everything. But if the fluid is burnt even after a fluid change it might be too late.
