Default lt1 rebuild

just a quick question... 93 lt1 wont hold oil pressure anymore... 200k+... just want to rebuild it. i have about 1k to put into it.. maybe a lil more... and a mechanic to do the work... question is... im not looking for anything crazy out of it... for now... but is it worth going with one of these 383 lt1 kits... and to stay within in my budget... or should i just go back to stock... good place to find these kits? looked on summit.. but nothing i found that stood out... except for this... worth it?>>> part # FEM-CSMHP766-300

to benifit from this build you would also have to do intake and exhuast upgrade and tune. just rebuild it if you dont have the cash

Theres nothing wrong with Ebay stuff as long as they have good feedback. Ebay stuff is usually great and cheap because the people selling it usually dont have the overhead to pay for.

That looks like a good deal.

thanks.. havent been on here in awhile.. u got rid of ur ss? nice truck though

as for intake and exhaust needing to be done.. as long as the power is there... and just "undercovers" ill upgrade those a little later but i do have k&n and cats knocked out ... but def will up those.... later...

i think i will take countries advice... like i said.. i have a mechanic that will do it because i dont want to fk up my own shit... im still going to need rings, bearings, and gaskets right?.. i dont think those come with the stroker kit...

i was refering to larger maybe 32lb injectors, 52 or 58mm tb, ported plenum, headers etc. but if the 383 kit on ebay is close to the price of a standard rebuild kit go for it. dont forget you still need to pay for machine work, and i have no idea how much it is to clearance a block.

id be able to afford head work and machine work if the stroker kit came as a rebuild kit... oil pump..rings... bearings... gaskets etc... but ill have to ask the seller what exactly it comes with... if i have to buy a rebuild kit separate... ill just have to rebuild the engine back to stock without the 383 kit...

you arent going to do a 383 the right way for only 1000.
