Default s10/cavalier questions...

Ok, not sure if many people on here have bagged/dropped 2nd gen dimes but... I have a 95 and I was looking at the cavalier intake manifold as its a direct bolt on for the 98+ because the TB is removable from the manifold. But in my 95 the TB is part of the plenum(or upper intake manifold) So Basically what I was wondering is if I can use the 98+ cavalier or s10 tb with my 95 and not have to change anything. Im sure the electronics should be close to each other, just wondering if it will work or not. If the 95 ECM wont work, would the 98+ ECM work on my 95 with the 98+ manifold and TB?

Thanks for any resposes,
-Mike

If your 95 is (8th #) vin code W, which is a vortec motor with cpi injection system, nothing is compatible.

i dont know much about the 4 cylinders. The 2.2 block didnt undergo any changes that I know of for a long time so I am assuming that it is the same and should work.

I know the block is the same. thats not the question at hand. Its all computer realated. The 2.2 block has been the same since the 1st gen cavi. But I want to know if the 98+ throttle body will work with the 94-97 ecu without a reflash or something.
