98 Z28 retrofit Ls1 to Ls6
wow......just wow......
ls6 cams huh? ported and polished tranny valves?! thats fuckin tits.
to hold off on the total laugh fest im going to have with this post, and answer your original question...
the only difference between the LS1 and LS6 as far as performance is concerned is the intake/heads/cam. I would never convert to an LS6 because it is an absolute waste of money.

Holy shit. Why would you take apart a motor and pay premium price for mildly aggressive parts? You have an LS6 cam*, just one. You would need LS6 heads and Intake. You're better off going bigger. Yes you will need to be re-tuned to get all the power out the heads/cam/intake package.

to have an auto shift harder that would be an aftermarket valve body. no porting and polishing in there at all (as far as i know). and with an auto, removing the MAF screen will up your trans line pressure considerably (Sneakin would know if its completly true or bs, but having it shift harder could very be from this)

that is the smartest thing i have seen him post yet.
and blue2k, its not advisable to remove the MAF screen on an auto car, its seemed to prove more problematic than anything.
