Looking for a salvage vette site
Like the title says, i wanting some figures for a future project i want to do if i can get the job im looking at getting in a few months. And was wondering how much a c5 z06 wrecked would cost, want it for a donor. I've heard people have bought them for as low as 10k, but i dunno if thats really realistic, thought i
guess if i sold the parts i didnt need or want it'd maybe come to that.
Anywho, anyone know a good salvage/rebuildable/wrecked vette site?

Well i was wondering about a realistic price for a GTM, if i can get the job I'm looking for in a few months ill be able to afford one, since my rent is basically nothing, and i dont have to pay for much else while im in school.
Basically off a z06, its the engine, suspension, and some other random parts

just get an LS1 and mod it, and go buy aftermarket suspension parts.

you think? I wanted to run a ls7 and run a z06 suspension if i did it, i figure if im gonna do it, might as well make it an absolute beast of a car. Ill check the prices for all the parts new from chevy, maybe if its low enough I could build a new LSX engine! and I mean X, not LSx ya know... , but i would still enjoy your rx7 deacon, if only it didnt need so much work to have it driveable for me.
the kit car weighs nothing, just get a C5 donor car w/ an Ls1 engine.

anyways...your going to drop 20-25k just on a stock LS7. the engine itself is 15k from GM, then you need the dry sump setup, the harness/ecu and the drivetrain.
for 20k, you can do all the suspension you could imagine, and still have a 450-500whp LS1.

dunno what exactly it needs done to be driveable? it takes like 30-45 minutes to put an overdrive tranny in it.

And yeah I suppose a reg c5 would suffice, I've seen them for around 10k wrecked, I wouldnt want to pay but 8 maybe, and if i really felt like it, maybe run h/c/i, Im mainly worried that the transaxle wouldnt hold though, I dunno how much it would be to source a GT2 transaxle would be though...
edit: yeah deacon, and id have to tow it here, then fiddle with the trans, and the rear end. But ill still think about it.
what are you trying to put this in? your talking about GT2 trannies and all this jazz and im totally lost. are you trying to fab this up to a porsche tranny?
The LS6 is nothing more than a severly overpriced heads/cam/intake packaged LS1.

GTM is a kit car, that looks sorta like a Ferrari. The kit is like 20 grand, then you need the suspension engine and all that from a C5 vette, and you need the transaxle from a porshe to put the car together.
