V6 Camaro
ok i just got myself an 1994 camaro and im having some transmission probs. i want to know if it is possible to put in a manual trans mission and if so can u do it with a V8 trany or do u have to stick withe one for a V6
Yes, its possible to put a manual in it, but you're talking a LOT of work and parts to do so. If you're that hellbent on a manual sell it and buy yourself a manual 94 Camaro. It'd be cheaper in the end.

Yes, you will need a T5. Your best bet is to find someone wanting to swap to an auto and swapping each other parts. I know many guys who have done it (though in v8 cars) and can point you in the right direction.
You will need a T-5,All you need is the bell housing to match your engine.. the right clutch and flywheel setup. it takes some catalogues and some matching, but from experience it can be worth it. I've got a z-28 t-5 in my s-10 and its a beast.
to do the swap you'll need:
tranny
crossmember
flywheel
clutch/pressure plate
master/slave cyl
manual pedal assembly
3 harnesses from GM to hookup the speedo, reverse lockout, noid and reverse lights (bout 15 a piece)
stock driveshaft may work, if you need it lengthened there is a local place called Fleet Driveline ( i think, i know its Fleet something) that does driveshaft modification
your going to have to remove the entire steering column to get the pedal assembly in, chop up your center console section for the shifter to come through, and drill out a hole in the firewall for the slave to mount to. aswell as wire up the clutch kill switch, cruise if ya have it, and probably get the computer reflashed to a manual bin file because the auto and manuals use different ppm readings.

That sounds about right... and it is FLEETPRIDE.... In the s-10 though i went from 700 to the t-5 and didnt change the drive shaft or cross member, except added the trans, clutch assembly and clutch pedal setup, and the different brake booster, as well as a pull type slave cylinder cause of header clearances.. You may want to go to a u pull it junk yard to find all your conversion parts.

That car is worth 3k tops. Sounds like it would cost more than that to do the swap.
