took the entire top end off as in got into the lifter valley aswell and none of them looked damaged?

if thats the case, have ya felt around the exhaust manifold gasket (at the head) for bursts of air? sometimes a partially blown exhaust gasket can sound like a lifter tick, and give ghost knock aswell.

Kenny, how many stock LS1 have you seen blow a MLS exhaust gasket?

Are you sure its just not the loud valvetrain? These cars sound like a sewing machine anyways.

i've seen one do it after a bad backfire. and another one essentially backed the manifold bolts off causing it to leak.

it sounds like its only one cylinder, maybe two, so i doubt its normal valvetrain noise, and it is setting the knock sensors off...

kinda off topic, anyone able to take me to the shop tomorrow to get my bearings pressed into the 9" housing?

finally got the gear change done, as well as my comp. reprogrammed....

took it to RevXtreme, and for $75, they reprogrammed for the gear change, deleted my EGR, deleted down stream O2's, and told me that the 'ticking' and knock sensor problems, is more then likely water getting down in the valley and rusting the sensors out.....
