Need2Speed is on the 12th.
I started on the trans last night. I can't get one of the top bolts off. I am going to try to lower the trans brace and use 4 extensions. Any other suggestions?

The car almost went up for sale last night in as-is condition!!!! That condition would be a trans 1/2 way out and stuck as hell.
I got all the bolts out from the bellhousing to the block and everything disconnected, and yes I freed the throwout arm, but the ears of the bellhousing hit the body. The trans won't go back far enough for the the shaft to clear the pressure plate no matter how much I tilt, twist, or kick. I even trimmed one of the ears a little with no luck. I guess I will have to remove the trans from the bellhousing. Anyone else had this prob?

you always remove the trans from the bell housing..at least every manual trans I've ever pulled.
