I raced a srt4 today..

and almost F-ing lost..

it had a bov and a turbo timer and I only beat him by one car...

he said that he was almost choked by my exhaust and how rich the cars running..

first off let me explain the situation with my car being pig ass rich

in the morning I will start the car to get the heat going before I go off to school... and if I leave it there for the normal 10 minutes or so the car will leave blackmarks on my driveway where the tailpipes where.. under moderate acceleration it smokes bad grey/black, it smells like shit and its getting horribe gas mileage..

the car never had this problem until I got a 2.25 inch flowmaster catback put on it.. and yes 2.25 piping to a 2.5 flowmaster muffler..

idk the car just doesnt feel right and it sounds like its farting when I let off the gas in any gear.. I guess thats excess fuel in the pipes..


I figure its from so much fucking backpressure in my exhaust.. or something of the sort because it never had this problems before when running an open Y.. oh yeah I dont have cats.. nor do I have o2 simms

im sure the lack of cats but especialy no O2 sims is pissing the car off...

when you remove the cats you will have exces hydrocarbons emitted fromt eh tail pipes, more so than before anyway. the cat would have changed these to other gasses and whatnot, so that could explain some of the smoke and odor.

but back to the no O2 sims, right now the car thinks the cats are not working...im suprised it has not set a check engine light. i wouldnt even be suprised if the car is staying in an open loop, which would also explain excessive smoke, odor and the poor economy.

these are just a few qucik thoughts

you will need O2 simms. Have the front 2 O2s ever been replaced? Ever cleaned the MAF? I would also throw away the catback, but thats a different thread

 

the front o2's are probably trashed btw, if its as bad as you say it is and its been that way for some time.

 

first go to discount auto and get your car scanned, then go from there

 

dude someone stole the scanner from the discount auto parts by my house... that shits not cool... so which ever of you lt1 owning cheap ass motherfuckers that apparently dont want to risk breaking shit on the 30 second drive to discount autoparts stole the thing would you please return it so i can scan my car when the .600 lift cam is in i have 435610326124572431 trouble codes?
