Default what year is this water pump from?

I'm new to the V8 scene and I'm having a hard time trying to buy a new water pump. I have a SBC 350, and I'm trying to buy a performance water pump but I don't know the year of my SBC. Can anyone tell me? thanks.

Yeah, pretty much all smallblock V8's are the same from 60's up until the late 80's. That appears to have some accessory mounting holes, so I'm assuming it's from a newer model car. Looks like a regular old short water pump though.

The engine is in a 1974 datsun, and I don't know what the engine came out of. Thanks for the info.

FRANK: are you sure that it's a short style water pump? I thought it was a long style water pump. Does it matter what style the water pump is? thanks.

looks like a short to me. they make them long and short so the fan still fits under the shroud.

I always assumed the "short shank" small uncentered water pumps were either from pre 1980's or more specifically from a "corvette" from that time period.

I can't really tell the depth from that picture, but it looks like the same pump that's on my 350 more or less. The guy at Automotice Engineering said I had a short pump. I really don't know the difference.
